Hello my name is Michael and im in school for computer network engineering and I also think the seti program is a very good way of going about contacting our celistal cousins well good day!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that our soceity is not ready to know the truth but it does exist and I bellive our goverment has some knowledge to show they do but as people most are not ready and it would lead to panic and some would maybe even worship this. If we do find out i belive some time around 2500 (if we dont kill Gaia) If we do transmit a beacon I say it should be a distress call to help us deal with our planet and the fact that we are killing her mabe with their knowledge they can help us clean her up and teach us how to harness more safe and less wasting resources. I think the seti project is just great and letting us help even just a little is a awsome idea and provides a valuable service to you as well as lets us the norm guy or gal get involved thanks for the oprtunity to help out.
