Personal background
My name is Kostis and I am 24 years old. I am doing my PhD in UK which is about theory of dynamics of injection-locked lasers. My hobbies are football , basketball and guitar playing.
I am from Greece (Athens) and I finished here in Thessaloniki my undergraduate studies in the Physics Department of Aristotle University. My opinion is that Greek people strongly believe about Extra Terrestrial Intelligence but there is noone here to guide us.
Keep up the good work!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do not think there are any dangers 0f such a discovery. Aliens are our past , our ancestors and our future. They created us and I am sure the keep watching our process and development. Of course they exist and I think that SETI programm has meny little chances to achieve such a discovery. They will contact us.But we should keep searching...
We should transmit a beacon but not this silly thing we sent a few years ago!
The only signal we sould send , should be like " We are waiting for you! "
I run SETI because I satisfy my need of seeking the unknown. But I think we will have good results in the near future. This is an excellent project but it is not so ... straight. It does not excite the user! We don't want to see only.We want to hear what we are examining each second of our computer. We must listen!
This is my suggestion and I think EVERYBODY wants that.
