Generally cynical, particularly with respect to 'honest' government and
politicans.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Do the math. To think that extraterrestrial life does not exist is the hieght
of arrogance. Didn't the last Mars probe find some bacteria or algea traces ? Not
intelliegent life, but life none the less.
Possible benifits : Lots.
Possible dangers : Go ask an aboriginal what the problems with contact with a
(relatively more) technologically advanced culture are.

2. Do not transmit additional beacons at this time. We are generating lots of
'noise' now, if anyone is looking we will show up like a radio star. How big a
target do you want to paint on our backs ? Do not make the assumption that the
ET's are nicer than we are. (They may just be hungery.)

3. Curiosity for the most part. If there are ET's in the 'local' neighbourhood,
it would be prudent of us to be aware of it. Particularly if they have the same
mind set as the Aliens from Independence Day. (Kill'em all and rule the planet.)
