Encourage all my friends to look for intelligence in space in the basis that we seem to lack it on earth.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
It is impossible to conceive of a universe with only earth having intelligent life. The real question is not if life exists on other planets or in deep space, the question is will we as a species survive long enough to encounter other life and how we will communicate and interact with such life.

Perhaps we should communicate something like the ratios of atomic weights or resonant frequencies of elements in the periodic chart. I do not believe that we should attempt to communicate any message. Sending a message to a stranger without any common basis such as language is pointless. Sticking to prime numbers or observations of the physical world says that we are here and invites a similar reply. If any message was ever returned, perhaps we should start by asking about the party we communicate with. Start with a question – not a statement.

I believe that seti at home or similar - no pain - possible benefit computations should be part of any OS. The excess computing power waisted on most desktops is evidence to man's lack of intelligence.
