I am 27 and from the carolinas in the United States. I spend my free time enjoying nature and helping others with their problems. I am currently in college trying to get my degree in computer science.. I want to Become cisco certified along with other things. Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
To quote a line from a movie.. If there isn't any other life out there it would be a waste of space. I canot answer when we will find life.. BUt i do think we will someday. I just hope i am around when it happens. I think that SETI is a good way to start looking though. And i support them 110%. The dangers and benefits of such a discovery will all be handled by the government.. ooohh a scary thought huh? I think that if used wisely.. (hence no government) We could have a better life because of it. The thought of eart transmitting a beacon is a good idea. If there is intelligent life it may be looking for us as well. The sci-fi movies are degenerating the minds of the youth by putting all those mean "space people" images out there. I really don't think that there are aliens or what not out there trying to dominate the universe. I run SETI because i want to support the idea of finding other life. I have an open mind and would like to see other civilizations to be found. I don't have any other suggestions besides possibly doing the star trek thing..lol So keep up the work SETI.
