Profile: Lloyd Bridges

Personal background
I live in a small town in the North of England where I work in the field of Information Assurance for a small consultancy company based in Surrey. When not being paid by various clients to perform security reviews and hacking into their networks, databases, web applications etc - I spend my time advising them on what countermeasures to implement to help defend against malicious attacks and industry good practice.

I enjoying spending time with my family, messing about with Ubuntu, reading (currently reading Simon Scarrow Eagle series) and of course playing my XBOX360 (games playing at moment are Mafia II, Halo Reach and helping my sons kick butt on Halo games and Borderlands where I've played as Lilith and Mordecai).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have run Seti@home since March 2000, this project is an fantastic way that like-minded individuals can help detect if there is the possibility of intelligent life on other planets as I sometime wonder watching the news if any exists on ours. Also, it gives my computer something else to do ;)

I hope that one day we might make a better job establishing contact with intelligent life outside our solar system that we appear to do communicating amongst our fellow humankind.
