Personal background
Hi, I'm 34 and live in Kent in the United Kingdom. I have a degree in Electronic Engineering and have always been interested in technology. I joined SETI@Home as soon as I could in May 1999 and was keen to contribute my limited computing resources. I am very excited by the project. I remember looking at the web site in the Summer of 1998 thinking how great it was going to be.

I am a keen Speedway fan (bikes not the cars) and watch as much of it as I can during the Summer. I am originally from a town called Barrow-in-Furness which is in the County of Cumbria in the UK and my family are still there. I like to go back as often as I can.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think there must be other forms of life in the Universe although the fact that we don't already know about them is a bit odd. The project is a fantastic idea and I hope it will keep going in various forms as long as possible.
