The name's Graeme, I'm a 'silver surfer' and I come from an large town some 12k south east of London, England. I work for a large US company in the 'comms department, where I run one of my SETI stations.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1 - Yes / via SETI or a visit / cures for everything and unlimited energy / destruction of the human species (and the other species as well)
2 - Yes / whatever fits in the bandwidth and power limits (TV has been going for years)
3 - My own small contribution to furtherance of mankind / keep up the good work / get more bandwidth (it has taken 11hrs to process but 4 days to get next block of data)
