Personal background
Currently the Servo Control Group leader for the National Radio Astronomy
Observatory's -Very Lare Array-, located on the Plains Of San Augustin in
West Central New Mexico, USA. Interested in amateur astronomy, electronics,
camping, and fishing for the elusive rainbow/brown/cutthroat/golden trout...
recently got back into Ham Radio after being off the air for 35 years...you
can find me on 20Meters chasing 'DX'...my callsign is WA6OML...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
When you consider all the "billions & billions" of galaxies ( each containing
'billions & billions' of stars )we have just started to glimpse, the chances
of our Earth being the only harbor for 'intelligent' life is wellll, just too
astronomical....If there is indeed intelligent life on other worlds, then the
use of Radio Astronomy observing programs will be the most likely way to make
contact...and I'm lucky enough to work at one of the "world class" facilities
where it just might happen...
