I am now only running SETI@Home on my Home PC (AMD 64) and my work laptop (Intel Duo). I prefered classic b/c I could just set it to run and let it do its thing, now I have to babysit BOINC to make sure it will run right. But its new and still has its noobish flaws that will be sorted out over time.
12k Classic Units and over 161k boinc units... i've all of a sudden grown very bored of SETI... not as fun as it used to be, not as challenging really.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes intelligent life on other planets exists...
The human race will kill itself before we discover them though... bummer huh?
We can only benifit from finding another 'extraterrestrial'.
We should announce ourselves... with math of course.. simple stuff like a grid coordinate of us in the milky way galaxy & whatnot.
I run seti b/c I have my computers on all the time... Plus its cool to say ... "I run SETI@Home" makes for good conversation... though it may be one sided
