I'm 47 and a bit of a space and science finction buff. I'm most interested in the Mercury to Apollo. I believe that we are not alone in the universe , but unlike many also believe that there is no reason to think we are not as advanced as it gets. No one in the universe had a head start in delelopment.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes I believe that we are not alone. We will discove them when enough time has passed for the radio waves to travel to us. No danger to any one. ( Unless of cource faster than light tralvel ever happens.
2. No Let threm guess based on what we transmit now.
3. I think it's a great way for all to contribute to the reasheach in a way most can afford.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
