Profile: David Parkinson (DP)

Personal background
Hiya, I am 28, have Jeff as my Dad and Tina as my step mum. also have three brothers Mark, Richard and Matt. We are all involved with seti@home, and are proud to be! Currently Im working in a garden centre, however Im also a counsellor in training. My interests include, Horticulture, botany, entomology, and of course psychology and the human condition! For this reason I am really keen to make contact with any alien civilisation to compare and intergrate. Im also a Star Trek fan!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Im a very firm believer that E.T. life exists, Its only a matter of time before we, or they make contact with us. The positive possibilities of making contact are endless, and it would certainly have benefits for our medical understanding, and cultural improvements. Dangers would probably be limited, but may include infections on both our parts, due to lack of immunity.
We should be transmitting a beacon for others to find, It would create an instantly welcoming effect to any passing aliens. Various information about our civilizations and cultures, and that we are friendly!
Seti@home provides an Interesting past time, and allows good work to continue, It also allows us to keep our fingers on the pulse of the universe!
