Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
This program is a fantastic idear. It not only helps with the search for ET lift but, gets people intrested.
I have alway been intrested in space and belive life has to be out there. As for how this will be done. It's hard to say but it is my hope that it is soon and the fact it has been done is made public without delay.
The benefits of such a discovery will depend on what is proven. If aliens were to land on earth than the inpact would be huge but, if we were to find a radio from another world it would be less 'earth shattering' but could help to rerive intrest in the space program.
I see no reson why we shouldn't transmit a beacon. If we are looking for them why wouln't they be looking for us?
