Personal background
I'm a 40-something woman from Montana. I enjoy reading anything, and I do mean anything, I've never met a book I don't like or at the very least can't get along with. I love sci-fi, again any way I can get it - books, tv, movies.

My dad had me looking at stars when I was just a little girl, when I'd ask if there was life on other planets he always told me it was up to me to make up my mind.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I made up my mind early on; I believe that there has to be life in some form or another out there. To believe otherwise is being extremely selfish (this whole wonderful universe was created just for human beings?)

Do I think we'll ever find anything? Who knows, my theory is that someone might as well be using my computer when I'm not. Besides I've long been convinced that computers are aliens... why else do they do some of the strange things THEY do. And if we're discussing computer aliens we might as well discuss the one species of aliens I KNOW for a fact live among us... CATS! Unfortunately they refuse to share any of their wisdom with us.
