Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
We are all one - life exists here in this dimention and others and life exists on other planets also. It would be too conceithed of man to think we are alone ( although some do - and if that is where they are at, that is OK too ).
We have not even begun to scratch the first layer of our universe. It is most inconcievable that life in some form ,both greater and lesser than us does not exist on another planet. Many forget that this planet alone has thousands of species and all are not carbon based.
With the stupidity of human - are we worth contacting, would we be more of a headache than a friend to other life. we don't seem to value our own life and existance - if I was watching us I would conclude we are not ready to find others - I hope I'm wrong.
I run seti@home as it enables me to be involved in this project in some small way. I believe that this search is valuable as it gives us the possibility of some future hope to prove to the masses that our racial, religious, and physical boundries are insignificant in the greater scheme of things.
