Profile: Charizard

Personal background
I was hatched in London in 1963 and moved to Suffolk early in the '70s. After finishing school in Mildenhall, I went through various jobs and currently work in a factory making filing cabinets. I don't enjoy it much but it pays the mortgage

I seem to be quite good at FPS games (First Person Shooters) and am now getting back into flight sims and driving games
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I heard about SETI@home from a friend of mine - Matt Peddlesden NeutronIC) - and started in with an Intel P5-200. 120 hours for the first unit. A bad start, but I persevered!

I'm now running SETI@home on multiple machines on a home network and running the program partly to benchtest systems, partly to race friends but mainly to see if there is any intelligent life outside of our own planet A pity that there 'aint too much of it around here these days!)

If we don't manage to wreck our home planet then one day, maybe - just maybe, we'll come across another race. We won't try to kill it, we won't try to hide from it; we'll meet. No face-huggers, no BS. Just meet.

There would be no point in broadcasting our own signal into space for another race to listen to - I'm sure they're geting pretty sick of hearing and/or seeing some of the garbage we've been pumping out into space from standard TV & radio transmissions - I just hope they've not seen some of our xenophobic sci-fi stuff :)
