Profile: James A. Perry

Personal background
I'm a semi-normal 42 year old Business Analyst for an oil and gas Company here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I've been crunching units since May 17, 1999...first "public" day, I think.

When I'm not sifting for aliens with my cosmic colander you can find me on the golf course, fly fishing my favorite streams, scuba diving, having a cold beer at Duke's on Waikiki and spending sleepless nights listening to George and Art.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Life outside our orb must certainly exist. I'm not betting the house on getting a "eureka", but if we don't try then the certainty of failure goes up to 100%

What I really can't wait for is a manned expedition to Mars, but even more a sub-ice look at Europa. I would eat my shorts if we don't find critters hanging out around the black smoker fountains in the water we already know is under Europa's surface. And me without my outer space scuba suit!

I wish everyone luck on their searches. It's possible that the moment someone is waisting their time reading this, their WU just heard something extraordinary. Wait....I think I have just found an alien. Nope. Just my kids. Close, but not close enough...
