Profile: Mussolini

Personal background
I am an Electrical Engineering student at the University of Texas in Austin. I am 21 and have lived in Austin my whole life. Right now my hobbies include nothing except studying, sleeping, and eating. But when I'm not doing that I enjoy playing video games, particularly Halo which has become a good life-wasting addiction. I also am a news junky and religeously scoure through daily online news publications. At night I like to plan my reign as Earth ruler.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe in ET. I think humans will discover ETs when resources are adequately devoted to space exploration in the next 100 years. As with many past discoveries, I think the ET discovery will most likely be an accident. Such a revelation would change the way humanity viewed itself. Religeon would be forced to answer some tough questions. Humanity would benifit with the answer to one of the oldest questions, "Are we alone?" I don't think there would be dangers.

A beacon would be a good idea. The information should say "I see you!"

I run seti@home because I want to be apart of something big. Anayzing signals on my computer along with millions of others is an effortless way to contribute to the growth of human understanding.
