Profile: Nameless 1

Personal background
I am currently living in North Quincy, Ma. . Eventhough I have no degree in astronomy or any related subjects I do have a love for the field. Right now I am a volunteer at the Museum of Science in Boston.
As a child I remember sitting on my front porch at night and looking up at the stars and wondering if there was a kid up there sitting on his steps and looking up at the stars and wondering if I was here.
I never lost that feeling or the awe at all that might be out there, I’ve gone to many star parties and always walked away feeling small and insignificant but never alone. I hope I’m not, I hope we’re not.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
As for the discovery of ET’s, I think that they are already here. They discovered us. After all, how would we go about studying other civilizations if we could get to other worlds? In secret, no doubt.
As for the dangers, all discoveries entail some risk. It’s just a question of how far are we willing to go.
Transmit a beacon? Sure, same as we sent out on Voyager or something like it.
As for running SETI. It’s just to be a part of something bigger then myself.
