Personal background
A 29 year old train driver, from London, UK. I enjoy beer, computing, watching movies, more beer, and aviation. I was in the Royal Air force for ten years, thats probably where I got my taste for beer, and once I saw a UFO which turned out to be a meteorite in a meteorite shower.....A Bit Dissapointing!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that with the billions of planets out there, We as a lifeform would have to be very narrow minded to believe that ours was the only one with life, whether ours is the only one with intelligent life on is another thing, but I believe anything is possible, and are WE that intelligent anyway?
WHEN we discover other life forms I think it will be the intelligent type, found through a system such as SETI using antenna to search space, as space exploration using space shuttles, rockets and probes are extremely costly, and therefore quite limited. I support SETI@Home because it gives me the nice feeling that I am contributing to the exploration, and there's always that chance that I could find an alien race using my battered old PC....how groovy would that be!
