I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area, and have been an amatuer astronomer for a long time, having built two telescopes and conducted many star parties. My latest effort is to become adept at operating the 30" Challenger scope atop Fremont Peak; I've recently joined FPOA and look forward to advancing the organization's mission of making that high quality telescope available to the public. Come see us on any moonless, clear Saturday night from April to October.
