Profile: Interactive Peripherals (Qld)

Personal background
Interactive is a computer maintenance company dedicated to high priority services and disaster recovery. Because of the need to respond quickly, we always have engineers with time on their hands and computers with respectable power lying around.

When one of our engineers became interested in the SETI project we decided to use some of this spare capacity. We currently have 3 Compaq servers devoted to the project running the command line version as well as the screen saver running on some of the work pc's.

As time allows we also intend to devote a quad processor RS 6000 model F50 and maybe some Ultrasparc's.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Are their aliens? If the chances of any solar system having intelligent life is one in 10 billion, than the Milky Way (Our Galaxy) has probably 10 to 40 planets with intelligent life, let alone the rest of the galaxies. Can the probability be smaller than that? I doubt it.

The aliens are out there!

Lets find them!
