Personal background
I work in PC and Network support for TravelCenters of America. It is a company I'm proud to work for even though we sell Diesel Fuel! ;-{ Great Management and an otherwise excellent business ethic.

I've got a BA in Pol Sci and work on PCs 'til I'm ready $$ to begin my career in Anthropology. Looks like in 1.5 years.

I've been running Seti@home almost continuously since 1995. I've lost a couple of profiles so have had to start over a couple of times. I still have over 4000 hours logged since September 2000. Not bad, huh? :-)

I'm a freakin' romantic who loves Heavy Rock and makes fun sometimes sick jams on guitar & voice. I'd need bandmates to jam more but I guess I don't really want that. Maybe it's around the corner. whatever...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Of course I believe ET life exists. Whether there are any intelligent societies out there or not I have no idea. I love to guess about it though. I'd say there probably are. It's just like the idea of a God though. Who freakin' knows so why pin your hopes on it. When I don't live up to what I want in life, I'M the ONE who has to change it. Can't be countin' on ET now can we? ;-} If there are Gods or Intelligent ETs, I sure hope to meet them. I'm just not gonna worry about either one because it really doesn't matter to me. The ETs I'd actually love to encounter (maybe, of course!)
