My name is Sean Walker and I currently live in Northern Ireland. I am in the British Military and have been for 14 years. I have been to various places such as the Gulf, Bosnia and Germany. I am married and my wife thinks that if I get lucky enough to find a spike in one of my work units my garden will be over run with alien life. I try to reassure her. Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think extraterrestrial life exists. we will be a bit naive to believe that we have the only livable planet out there. I don't know how long it will take humans to discover it but the idea of sending out a beacon will help bring that meeting closer. It could be a good thing or a bad thing but we will not know until that time comes. I found out about the seti programme from a friend and decided that I could help the search. The more people that get involved the better and it just might bring that first contact that little bit closer.
