Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
There has to be other life on other planets. We can't possibly be the only life anywhere in the known universe. I believe that we will have proof within the next 5 years.
If we want to send a signal to welcome others and the only transmissions that other life forms would receive are from our TV, then I don't think anyone would visit our little planet.
Our small contribution to the SETI project is both important and fascinating. I would like to see start charts or maps of where our analysis is being done
