Located in the City of Nottingham central UK. I am 45 years of age and qualified as a Electronics engineer but now retired due to health problems.
My hobby is Amateur Radio which is now daily activity due to lots of time on my hands!!! spend lots of time constructing radio receivers and transmitters for low power ( QRP ) activity on the HF amateur bands mostly CW. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I have know about the SETI home project for quite sometime, I am a follower of all deep space probe projects and most activity that involves space exploration in one form or another.
I dont doubt for one second that life exists on other planets, I also believe we are now technicaly advanced enough to discover such life in what ever form it may be. I also dont doubt that there is maybe other possible forms of communication thats waiting to be discovered, put this way, electromagnetic wave communications to a civilization hundreds or even billions of years in advance would look on it as we do two tins connected by a length of string!!
I do hope that someone within the SETI project does hear that signal, what a day that will be!
