I am a IT Infrastructure Manager in the Bay Area. I was born in California, raised in Ohio and lived in Texas for 6 years before coming back to the California Bay Area.
I have a beautiful wife, a child on the way, and a Pomeranian dog. My wife and I are products of modern civilization. We consume, then feel quilty about it and try to give back a little where and when we can. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I run SETI@home because even though I was raised Baptist Christian I believe that we (as humans and other life on this planet) are not alone in the vastness of space. I believe that reaching out and trying to find signal--no matter how faint--will one day change us for the better once we find confirmation.
I am severely apolitical, so my views on the SETI project are scientific. We cannot be alone; we cannot be the only culmination of a series of events that lead to life. There must be others out there. One day technology will lead us of this rock and the technologies being developed in the search for other intelligence will help us keep in contact with ourselves. |
