Personal background
I'm an attorney who has a keen interest in astronomy and, of course, the finding of "life out there". I enjoy the arts as well as the sciences and found the SETI Program to be very interesting. I'm 33 years old, a male and have friends in all walks of life. A particular friend of mine owns a computer firm and I have referred him to your website!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Does ET exist? Of course, or I wouldn't be here. This universe is far too vast for there not to be other "life". Personally, that is an understatement of mega-proportions. When will we discover alien life? Well, your guess is as good as mine. Let's pick Star Trek's time frame and say 2065. I'm a huge Star Trek fan and believe their idea and technology are not all that far-fetched. What are the dangers and the benefits? Well if humans are an indication of life "out there", then we had better beware. If the aliens can conquer, assuredly they will. We had better hope we can cope with whatever exists. Personally, I'm not sure we can if they are that advanced of a species. Hey, its just like the movies to put it short. What information should we send? A message of peace. When do I run SETI? All the time, but my system is built for it. The project is the best. Keep it up.

Suggestions? Collaborate with NASA if that isn't being done already. By the way, in my picture I'm the guy with the hat on his head!
