I believe that there must be extraterrestrial life somewhere in the vast reaches of space. When will the human race discover this life? Maybe we have already. The pros and or cons of finding intelligent life from another world are as limitless as the worlds it may come from.
Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? Well, this question is about pointless as we, the human race, have been sending "signals", including but not limited to radio on various frequencies for decades, not to mention deep space probes such as Voyager carrying various information about "us".
I run SETI@home on my boxes in hopes that I may make a contribution ... a difference in the search for other intelligent life. |
