Personal background

I am old school.
My name is Ross, I'm 44, I live near New Orleans, Louisiana. I built my first computer from a kit long before there was an IBM PC. I learned to program Machine Code in binary then hex -- I didn't even get an assembler for years. Now, I run my own Old School Hosting Company and have been with the seti project from the beginning.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home

We run seti at home, work and school because we believe in the original premise. There must be other life out there -- And hopefully we are not the smartest!!!

Just because God created the Earth, does not mean that he didn't create other places for men or other creatures. When he was leaving his disiples he said, "I have other sheep which are not of this fold, them also shall I visit on this day." Surely we are not all so arrogant to think that just because we are the only ones wicked enough to kill the Son of God we are the only ones who exist?

I would like to suggest that the volunteers who run seti on their machines at home, work and school be referred to as LNA's (local node administrators) so as to make it clear in everybody's head just how important their job, cost, and input is to the success of the project.
