from Canberra, Australia
married but with no children, however we do have 2 cats, 2 dogs, numerous fish and too many computers
currently between jobs (or lesiure rich, cash poor)
I enjoy SF books and movies (and TV)
I also enjoy the Australian Bush and staring up at the Southern Sky at night
I also enjoy horse riding and just sitting by the bank of a river or stream
I am a volunteer bush firefighter
and as you may have guessed that I enjoy spending time outside of the cities

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

whether ET life exists or not I do not know but I would like to find out.
I have SETI@home installed because I believe in the effort to try and appreciate that funding is difficult (too many years spent in Public Service jobs). Involving our around the planet is a good way to let some of us be a part (no matter how small) of the search
WHat would happen if we find some one out there
The possibilities are huge, anything from an intoduction to a new way of looking at life to total stuff up
But hiding in a hole hoping it will not affect me never works, so I prefer to take the risk and take a look |
