Born in '65 (saves updating), live in Washington - yes, the state; the other is a city. I have issues with people who can't realize there is a world outside thier back yard. Call it my own crusade for tilting windmills.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I've been running classic seti since I can't remember when. Over five years anyway and almost made 10K wu before it was ended. Not bad for a single computer.
The diversity we see in the universe simply has to include other intelligence. Just the limits of our technology and the vastness of distance is all that's holding us back at this point.
My goal in life is to one day visit a planet where the dominant life form has no bi-lateral symmetry and get myself an F-shirt.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
