| I am the chapter founder and captain of the Klingon Assault Group Ship IKV Suns Glory, located in Omaha, Nebraska. I am also the state coordinator for Nebraska in KAG's Midwest Fleet, and I serve on the regional council as well. A while ago I was promoted to Commander and assigned command of KAG's Force Recon, which is their International Command and it includes the recruiting and helping all new KAG members in getting started in the club. I have interests in history, specifically the medieval and classical periods, scale modeling, computers, Science Fiction, and Fantasy. |

1. Yes I believe there is extraterrestrial life out there. I believe we may have already have been in contact with it, but the government is covering it up to protect the people from panic. I believe there is already a program of selective release of information to soften the blow when they make full disclosure. Too many other people also believe and are putting pressure on the governments for the release of information. The greatest danger I can see is the shock to those who are unprepared that we are not alone in the universe. The alien cultures may have a similar plan that the Star Trek program of the Prime Directive. That is to say, let any encountered culture develop without interferance until said culture is able to interact without possible damage to its infrastructure from said interactions. An example of this is the stone age tribe that was found in South America. Interactions with the outside world, specifically with the researchers that found them damaged the inner workings of the tribe to a point they weren't the same 1 year after the researchers left.
2. No, such a beacon could attract a species that may be hostile. I believe we need to look first. If we do transmit a beacon, it should contain some information about us, our location, samples of our languages, and samples of our music. It should also contain information such as data on decoding all the other information using the root of all information, (mathematics, and chemistry).
3. I believe we can make other contacts with races that may not know we are here, and it will be without government interferance. I like the project, and the ability of a common person like myself to participate in such a worthy program. |
