Personal background
I'm 33 from Norwalk, Ohio. Been running seti@home for about 4 years now. My hobbies are building custom computers, home theater/movies, cars, photography, mountain biking and camping. I currently run seti on 2 computers, an AMD 64 4400+ X2 Toledo with 2GB PC3200 Kingston Hyper X, X850XT 256mb PCI Express, 620gb hd space, dual dvd burners, and the 2nd machine is an AMD XP2800+ Barton with 512mb PC4000, GF4 Ti4200, 160gb.
Dual core machines are the BOMB diddly.
Wow, it's been a long time since I wrote that. I'm 42 now, hobbies are pretty much the same, now I'm running seti on my i7 4790k on a Gigabyte Z97X motherboard with 16 gb DDR3-2133, 1 TB SSD storage space, BluRay burner, R9 290X video card.

I've come a long way, baby.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run seti@home because the idea we're alone in the universe is absolutely laughable. I'd like to be a part of the team that proves that. I think the project is a great idea, distributed computing is a GREAT way to get awsome levels of computing power with a very low cost.
