Personal background
I'm an okie by transfusion - since 1945. Born in Florida - before chads. Product of a war bride and a fallen warrior. Have always been and avid "sky watcher". Had the distinct pleasure of standing on the beach at titusville across from Apollo 17 when it lifted into the night air on it's date with destiny.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I don't have the arrogance to presume that the entire universe is made for this particular "mud-ball" to be the only of onlys.

We have been sending beacons ever since marconi. by the way he didn't really have anything until he had TWO radios. Sending without the presence (or hope..) of a receiver is a sign of unbridled ..... never mind, you get the idea.

I run SETI on both of my computers at home. I haven't turned either of them off for the past few days. I'm at work during the day, and can't wait to get home to see how many units "I" have processed. I'm hoping that something will show-up in the next couple of decades.... I want to see it happen in my lifetime.

The "current" pic is how i see myself..without the mirror.
