I live in central Ohio with my wife and #4 son (who hasn't moved out yet). I'm a semi-retired computer programmer, working parttime 4 days a week as a sysadmin. My favorite hobby is my motorcycle which I commute to work on and ride short trips around southeast Ohio (great riding area).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
ET is here, there, and everywhere. We will hear him phoning US rather than home. We as a planet need to understand that we are not alone and we need to pull together rather than fight each other. One day we will wake up and find ourselves face to face with ET. We should be broadcasting beacons in addition to searching for others. We should be broadcasting old re-runs of StarTrek episodes. I look forward to the move to BOINC and will follow SETI@home to the new infrastructure.
