Personal background
I live in San Diego CA. I work in a library at UCSD. When I can pry myself away from video games or reading, I enjoy some of the nice weather I hear so much about. A hobby I just recently began is shaving my head. I consider it a hobby since it requires so much time and maintenance to keep it shiny and bald. I'm a virgin, you know born under the sign of virgo, and to the chinese I'm a horse. Have fun and may one of us make contact!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I think life exists in abundance, and once we get our "warp" drives going we'll realize that. As for when we'll discover the extraterrestrial life, that's debatable. I'm open to all possibilities.
We could learn to appreciate our uniqueness, what makes us human. Or we could learn how horrible we truly are.

2. We should try to transmit a signal that tells them to communicate back before coming because some of us might panic. We should also let them know that we are still primitive, and any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated.

3. I run SETI in hopes of helping us @home people look through all the data so SETI is forced to expande their search. Then maybe they'll get a bit more inventive. I understand the simplicity and feasibility, but we are also now in the 21st century. Expand the search.
