Personal background
I am currently a postgraduate student at Lancaster University in the field of Distributed Interactive Systems. Born in Athens,Greece on 1977, some of my personal interests are Computers (Old and New), Electronics, Amateur Radio (licensed radio amateur since 1997, callsign SV1EPM), Engineering (in General), Aviation and travelling around the World and exploring new places. I am also a projectionist for the University's Movie Theater and I always enjoy watching (or showing) a good movie!
Life is short so I believe that our goals should include achieving new levels of knowledge in any area that we enjoy. We should also try to experience life’s little pleasures as these determine our happiness to a great extent.
Our SETI team, Centralis, welcomes anyone who wants to participate and we’ll be happy to have you “aboard”!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
At first I joined the S@H project in order to keep my computer productive at all times and out of interest for the distributed aspect of the project. When I later realized the magnitude of the project and its capabilities, I started telling my friends about it and eventually our team was formed.
We’ll keep on looking, listening and analyzing… after all, if we are alone in this Universe, seems like an awful waste of space. (Ted Arroway)

Some of my favorite quotes:
The probability of success is difficult to estimate; but if we never search, the chance of success is zero. (Cocconi-Morrison)

To invent, you need a good imagination and a pile of junk.
(Thomas Edison)
