I run Seti because I because I know the odds of finding signs of life are probably nil, but the thought of finding even the slightest indication of life, even if through some small non-naturally occuring phenomenon, excites me.
The belief in extraterrestrial life to me isn't a possibilty it is an absolute. The arrogance in suggesting there is only one possible planet where life could form is rediculous, however I fully subscribe to the fact that it is unlikely it would be in any form we would appreciate or recognize. |
