Outwardy I'm looking as a male about 23 years old (intresting, isn't it?).
By education I am a mathematisian, but I'm working as programmer-mathematisian.
At leisure, I intresed with physics (espesially cosmology and space physics), cybernetics(I has build two robots, that were controlled by my computer) and I am intresting genetics.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
In the life I'm not an optimist and not a pessimist - I'm something average.
As sequently, I think this project (SETI@home) can help peoples to find the outer mind or life, BUT, if we all try to do this together.
Though, I think its unlikely.
I think extraterrestrial life exists - its really.
I think, firstly, this life may be can carbon or silicon or in other chemical organism representation.
Secondly, it can not (it is very-very inprobable) develop by the our Earth's way.
Sequently, i think, its unlikely to catch the radio-signal from it life.
Simply, even, they can have other notion of radio signals.
For a question "Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find?" answer "yes" - we must do it, especially on such human civilization level.
The information, that we must send - I think it must be a random signal.
I accentuate on RANDOM - beacause I think other life, if it intelligent and its civilization level like or more developed, that us, understand the signals from the other stars - and understand that, in the nature random signals is not exists.
In the nature any signal has period.
If they catch this random signal- the must try to understant its random character - and so, explore it.
But we have very very probable problems - the life can be very far from us, and if they send answer signal, it can fly toooooooooooo long time.
Secondly, very big problem to create good random signal.

Im running SETI@home because I wanna discover space.
This project is a good representation of people collaboration.
A little more such projects.

I suggest to set up second radio-telescope to recieve signals.
