Personal background
Greetz!!!!!
Im from Norwich England, Im 19 and Im the managing director of a record label - Magnetic Records..I also run a dj and event promotion company - www.starweaver.co.uk, currently hosting afterparties in the city...

I originally joined seti@home some time ago - ive since lost my account details - so once id bought my new computer i thought id devote a little cpu time to looking for alien signals....sounds kinda silly but its just sitting here while im at work so why not use that time for something useful....
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I find it hard to believe that we are alone in this galaxy and even harder to believe we are the sole intelligent lifeform in the universe - even finding a cat on a distant planet would be a huge find...

how this alient lifeform would actually appear is something that im not sure even the most imaginative person can predict - somehow i even doubt it would have 2 legs 2 arms and a head....what are the benefits of finding alien life?
exchange of technology? i think that if they are the exchange of tech for space travel and health will be the most essential, my friend recently told me that any space faring civilisation will be peaceful - since to get to space they must have discovered the atom and so also discovered nuclear power - as such an agressive race would use this to destroy itself and therefore wouldnt be making contact....unless the microbes left have somehow flicked the broadcast switch!!!

Good luck to us all....im sure we will find them someday - only hope my computer helps...
