1. I think extraterrestrial life exists.. infact I'm sure it exists, if it's intellegent or not, that's the question. When will we discover it? all I know is that it will be some time in the future, hopefully the near future. I don't see any dangers. The only way a civilization would be dangerous is if it has the technology to go all the way over here. And if it can do that then i would have thousands, maybe even millions of years on it's neck and would have no internal war. It would be a civilization of peace (unlike ours), therefor it would most likely not be interested in destroying us. Would we destroy an Infirior civilization, that can't harm us in anyway, if we found one?
2. Yes we should send a beacon. We should send are position in the univers.
3. I run SETI@home because I think the SETI can use all the help it can get. And my computer is always on anyway, so might aswell use the processing power.
