Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I'm absolutely positive that ET's exists... I sincerely doubt that we'll ever see one, at least not for generations to come.
Yet, I think SETI's work has some importance, and it IS extremely interesting. I participate in SETI@home because "what IF we someday found ET"?
If we should ever find a signal from another planet then it will surely change the way we look at the universe. I think the greatest danger in such a discovery, is the ignorance, megalomania and paranoia of the human race itself. If an alien race should decide to take over Earth, we wouldn't stand a chance anyhow. But why would they?!
