Personal background
hi,I'm from connecticut\usa, age 60, retired att electronic network tech. Now I have time to play with all this new technology,such as mp3 music players, digital cameras, photo editing, games. To keep in shape I like to go jogin, rollrbladen, mt biken, road bikn and ride a 750 honda motorcycle for some real fun and speed.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I started run n SETI back in 2002 when I heard about it on the Art Bell Coast to Coast radio talk show. Sounded like a good shot to be the 1st one @ find n et, but didn't realize what a long shot it was @ the time till after be n in it for a few years,due to the vast amount of data that has to be gathered up and sifted through, but decided to stick with it anyway. Look's to me that if our receiver technology doesn't exactly match the et xmitter technology, we'll never go n to pick it out, especially if they don't want us to know about them and some how cloaked their xmissions so we can't zero in on it. Will now have to see how this new Astropulse signal plays out. But like the lotto, if you don't play, you can't find et...
