Hi, I am James from New York City (boro of Queens). I am a software developer specializing in Visual Basic (.NET and v6). Recently laid off in mass layoff for the company I worked for (sign of the times) I enjoy playing music (fluent on Guitar, Bass, Drums and some keyboards) and playing PC Video games. For fun in my spare time when I am not writing code for work, I write code for fun!
I am interested in SETI and like most people I believe we are NOT alone in the universe. I downloaded the SAH application because I wanted to contribute my unused CPU cycles to the distributed data analysis effort, as well as just appreciating the software itself.
When it comes to the CPU every nano-second counts! Who knows, maybe my machine will find ET.
I have a spare pc and a broadband connection, maybe I will dedicate that pc to SETI 24/7. I'll let you know.
