| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
As works projects go SETI is an amazing concept. Just listening for contact. As fruitless as it has been, I have never been more certain that it is a worthy endeavour.
Even more audacious than SETI is SETI @ Home. Using the power of millions of computers to accomplish a single task and not draining the bank by one group purchasing those computers, but enlisting the help of eager individuals wanting nothing more than to advance the human race as a whole.
I'm proud to be a part of one of the greatest works of man.
