Personal background
Like so many SETI@HOME participants, my imagination was captured by the movie Contact. I was a follower of scientist Carl Sagan before that, who as you may know wrote the novel upon which the movie was based. Carl Sagan is the guy who did the great PBS series "Cosmos" where his trademark "billions and billions" line was picked up by fellow science fan Johnny Carson.

I work at a Public TV & Radio station, WSKG, where I am the Director of Radio Broadcast Services. I'm 42, just recently bought myself a Dell Dimension 8200, 2.2ghz, 121GB hard drive, 512MB memory. Should be able to crank quite a few SETI work units!!

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I find it hard to imagine we're the only sentient beings in the universe. Of course, until we have evidence, none of us will know for sure, will we??
