| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
| I beleive that there is other intelligent life in the universe because in the billions of other planets in the universe, we cant be the only habitable one. I think that a beacon or device of communication could be risky in case the other life forms were dangerous or Predatory. I was happy to run SETI@home because i would love to have played a part in the discovery of another race of intelligent lifeforms. I think the project is a great idea because it uses the natural slack of many home and business computers that would otherwise be wasted. I noticed recently that someone has brought out a program that does other similar things with cancer research. |
