I have been running the Seti program off and on now for a while. But recently I decided to see what would happen if I ran the program on 3 desktops and laptop. 2 desktops are AMD's 1.53 GHz and the other Desk top is a an AMD 1.33 GHZ. The lap top is a measly 600 MHZ.
My hobby is computers which I turned into a living repairing and building them.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I feel that there is other life out there...just not sure if they are using the wave lengths that we are now searching. I think we will soon find out if there is other life.
I think we should send out several beacons in different directions. What type? It is kind of hard to predict what other intelligences have developed as far as communication goes. I would make it as varied as possible technology wise.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
