Born in Austria in '72. I am a hobby astronomer/star gazer and firmly believe we are not the only ones. I work in IT and have some of the higher end machines crunch work units at night.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think seti@home is a great project in two ways: I love astronomy and absolutely support the effort even if it might not be successful for some time to come; and second the idea of harnessing the unused CPU cycles on "ordinary" PC's is a great idea and will probably lead to other projects of this nature (I know there are already some).
